Coprosma viresens, is a native New Zealand shrub cherished for its open foliage. It is a small-leaved shrub which grows 2 to 3 metres high. It has very slender, more or less glabrous divaricating branches. Leaves have a shiny appearance, and the trunk ,a mottled bark lending a vibrant look to gardens and landscapes. Inconspicuous flowers develop into small, green berries. Grows in lowland to lower montane, on well drained to poorly draining fertile soils, in forest and shrubland. Resilient and versatile, it adds ornamental and ecological value to various environments.
