Fuchsia excorticata, commonly known as kotukutuku or New Zealand tree fuchsia, is a native tree celebrated for its distinctive bark and elegant flowers. Its mottled, peeling bark reveals vibrant hues of pink and orange, while its pendant-like flowers attract native birds. Growing to a height of 15m. It is unusual among NZ trees in being deciduous in the southern parts of its range. It grows from sea level up to 1000m, particularly alongside creeks and rivers. Low flammability species suitable for green breaks and defensible spaces. Sold out.
