Carpodetus serratus, commonly known as marbleleaf, is a native New Zealand shrub or small tree. growing to 10m tall. It features glossy, serrated leaves and clusters of small, creamy-white flowers. Coastal to montane, thriving in moist, forested environments, it’s valued for its ornamental foliage and ability to attract native birds. Low flammability species suitable for green breaks or defensible spaces.
