Coprosma lucida, commonly known as shining karamu, is a native shrub found throughout New Zealand. It boasts glossy, leathery leaves and small, inconspicuous flowers followed by vibrant orange or red berries. Resilient and adaptable, it provides habitat for native birds and adds year-round colour to gardens. Low flammability species, suitable for green breaks or defensible space.
