Coprosma robusta, also known as karamu, is a robust native New Zealand shrub or small tree reaching 5m, found in forests and scrublands. It features large, glossy leaves and inconspicuous flowers, followed by clusters of orange or red berries. Resilient and adaptable, it provides habitat for wildlife and adds ornamental value to landscapes. Low flammability species suitable for green breaks or defensible spaces.
