Olearia adenocarpa, also known as Canterbury Plains tree daisy. Rare shrub native to New Zealand. It boasts narrow, silvery-green leaves and delicate clusters of white flowers, blooming in late spring. Growing to 1.5m tall. Endemic to south island, Canterbury plains. A lowland species of recently deposited alluvial gravels and sands. Severely threatened by browsing animals, habitat loss/ modification and weed invasion.
